Micaela had dreamt of being an architect until she saw an advert looking to train nail technicians. She jumped at the opportunity thinking that the course would be a nice “hobbie”. Eight years later Michaela is now the architect of nails, driven by a passion she found in being able to express her creativity through nail art.
Micaela’s career began Johannesburg before moving to a Port Elizabeth on a spontaneous whim and has never regretted her decision!
“I have really settled down here and I love Port Elizabeth as much as I love being a nail technician! I have met so many friendly people and chatting to clients has encouraged me to ‘come out of my shell’. During my time at Glow and Go I have attended various art courses which have been instrumental in improving my knowledge and skill set. My greatest pleasure is when my clients are happy and leave with a smile. A former teacher once told me that if you love what you do then you have never worked a day in your life, and indeed that is true as my hobby is my profession and my passion, and I get to do it working with colleagues who’ve become my Glow & Go family!
