Wake up looking good!

Permanent Makeup

Cosmetic Tattoos and Microblading

Never worry about your makeup smudging or fading – permanent makeup won’t come off after swimming, working out or showering. With permanent makeup you can continue to wear makeup without having to worry about whether they’ve applied it accurately. Permanent makeup effectively hides hair loss, skin blemishes and scars and is often used after reconstructive surgery to help return the skin’s appearance to normal if pigment was lost during surgery.

What is the difference between Microblading and Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup (cosmetic tattooing) is also known as micro-pigmentation, derma-pigmentation, and permanent cosmetics and is applied with a tattoo machine, implanting highly specialised cosmetic ink under the skin using techniques to apply designs that resemble makeup.

Eyeliner, colour enhancement of skin on the face, eyelids, lips, and eyebrows and post-surgery reconstruction are areas where permanent makeup is traditionally used.

Microblading is basically a tattoo for your eyebrows – however it is less invasive since the pigment is not deeply inserted into the skin. During the microblading process the permanent makeup artist uses a hand-held blade to make hair-like strokes which create natural looking fuller brows.

Traditional tattooing uses needles on a rotary/coil machine to push ink several layers into the skin, while microblading uses a manual blade and only targets 3 layers of skin. Because the pigment sits so superficially in the skin the strokes are sharp, crisp, and they mimic the look of real hair.

Microbladed brows typically last between one to three years depending on skin type lifestyle, sun exposure, regeneration of skin cells, speed at which the skin absorbs the pigment, choice of colour, etc. A touch up is recommended to keep the strokes looking crisp and the colour vibrant.
