Throughout my career I have always tried to ensure that the passion and enthusiasm for my work has positively changed the way women feel about themselves. As a qualified Psychologist it’s important to me that I am able to provide a service to my clients whereby they feel confident and beautiful in themselves.
My late mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. While undergoing treatment she lost all her hair and eyebrows. Wigs covered the hair loss, but the loss of her eyebrows had an immense negative impact on her self esteem – which led me to investigate options to solve this problem.
As a qualified beauty technician, permanent makeup was the obvious solution for her, and in 2007 I embarked on my first training session in Somerset East.
The training I received I felt was not as comprehensive as I would have preferred, but I realised immediately that it made a massive impact on my mothers self esteem just having her eyebrows back. Knowing I could now make a difference to many more women I sought out more training, joining the Cherry Ink team in 2012 under the professional expertise of Suze Steyl.
I’ve owned my own beauty salon, Glow and Go, for the past 12 years as well as owning a number of nail and beauty retail outlets in and around Nelson Mandela Bay.
I am also an educator and distributor for Lash-On Lashes from Cherry Ink, and an international trainer and distributor for NSI Nail Systems, as well as a distributor for QD Nails.
